Eye Examination

Your eye exam begins with a very thorough medical history followed by an extensive review of your eye and vision care needs. Your exam will include visual acuity, eye muscle balance, color vision, visual fields, refraction determination, examination of the eyelids, the eye itself, the retina (which includes an examination of the vitreous for floaters, optic nerve, arteries, veins, macula, and peripheral retina for signs of detachment), and a neurological evaluation of the visual system and cranial nerves.

When necessary, photographs, ultrasound, scanning lasers, and threshold visual fields will be performed. Our office houses the most advanced state of the art diagnostic equipment, including retinal cameras, scanning lasers, threshold visual fields, ultrasonic technology, and corneal topography.
